4th of July pinwheels

I'm not sure what happened with this photo... but this was made with a Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin' Up. I filled Mason jars with Hershey kisses and added some cute ribbon. The pinwheels are easy to re-create by cutting 4" squares and cutting from each corner into the 1" point of center Then fold each cut back and secure with a glue dot. Attach to a paper straw with a brad. So fun!

Hellloooooo! Yep. I'm still alive! I'm just going to post some recent card photos...

I made this last summer for Ashley's birthday. I cased it from Pinterest and can't find the designer...but I love the layout!

Summer mini swap cards

This came out really blurry....for the life of me I couldn't get a good pic of this card. In real life it is b-e-a-utiful!  I used the embedded embossing technique with the Flowers- from the flower fusion sizzix die, and stamped the scooter from the On the Grow summer mini set onto Beyond the Garden DSP.   The sentiment says "each day is the perfect adventure".  Here's a close up of the scooter.....
I used a gem for the headlight....I would love to cruise around town on this scooter!  lol

Next swap card is using Sunny Fun also from the summer mini.

This set comes with three long stamps...the flip flops, a row of ice cream cones, and a row of kids in inner tubes playing in the water.  I can't wait to play with the other two.   Ashley's graduation party is this Sunday, and Chelsea is getting sealed in the Vancouver temple June 18th so I have been busy designing and making invites and planning for the parties.  So fun- but also lots of work  :  )   I am so happy for both of my girls.  Life is fun and it's true...."each day is the perfect adventure"!

Swap card with Party This Way!

Well, I had the best of intentions... I started this card for a swap last month with the theme being Occasions Mini and Saleabration. We had to use new things on our cards.  So Everything got stamped, cut out, layered and ribbons on, but I didn't finish assembling because the threading of the 5 pennants (per card) onto hemp twine became too much.  So- I am now going to finish them with H-A-P-P-Y on the banners and add a little tag that says birthday and use them for this months swap with a birthday theme.  Sometimes I am too ambitious for my own good. lol   Anyway-  The new items are the cupcake punch and the red glitter paper (used for the little cherry!)  The stamp sets are Party This Way and Flexible Phrases, I love the 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon from Stampin'Up and the designer buttons (here in pumpkin pie). They look like lifesavers to me, almost good enough to eat.  So-I have till the 21st of this month to get those little buggars threaded onto the hemp twine. Wish me luck!

Garden Gala Tags & Box

My friend Carol made this little box with tags for me!  It is so stinkin' cute! You can see her blog at http://www.stuffbycarol.blogspot.com/    She used Garden Gala DSP and daffodi delight, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait CS.  She used the cute little jewelry tag punch and coordinating tiny tags stamp set, square fire rhinestone and whipser white brads, the two-step bird punch, beautifl wings embosslit, birds and blooms flower pieces, 5 petal flower punch, scallop punch, daffodil delight satin ribbon, and probably some die for the large green 6 petal flower, but I don't know what it is....any ideas?
I love it! AND I appreciate her taking time to make me such an awesome gift.  I think I will use the tags, but probably replace them as I do... I know. I am a hoarder of all things beautiful. lol   But, luckily I am extremely organized and purge regularly so I don't overwhelm my craft room.   Enjoy!

Happy Valentines day...almost

This is my friend Laura's Valentine gift...I couldn't resist the little shopping carts, and made a mini- milk carton and a mini-shopping bag to go inside with the large Hershey's Kiss! You just can't go wrong when everything holds chocolate!  lol

Gary is keeping garlic in his! lol

This is one of four cards I completed for a mini-occasions and sale-a-bration swap with 20 Stampin Up! demonstrators.  We each made 4 cards, 20 each...kept one set and received 76 more in the swap... So fun!
deets:
Love defined stamp set, cherry cobbler CS and seam binding, Crumb Cake CS, Scalloped heart sizzlet, white craft ink and white embossing powder,  the heart edge punch from SU/Fiskars.

In a couple of months we have a swap coming up for our Simply Adorned charm inserts. I bought the medium size...1" x 1 1/4".  I thought I'd play with my Clearly For You stamp set (from the occasions mini) and see what I could come up with. This is very simple, but I like it.  I just had to have those raspberries!  I put this on a piece of Crumb Cake seam binding and it worked great. The chains are cool, but I thought the seam binding went better with the "mood" of the insert.   What do you think?

We are still colder than normal and the snow piles aren't going away, but I know Spring is coming...I'm sure its coming...It will definitely be here in a couple of months....
Stay warm!
